The 1.8.2 update will probably be deployed on the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft on Tuesday, October 16 based on a post from PlayXBLA, Microsoft's official Xbox LIVE blog. The update was originally sent off for certification testing on October 2 which suggests they just hit the standard bi weekly window for updates to become approved.

If you have Windows this will be the easiest part. Simply open up the Search or Find option on your hard drive, (commonly found in the Start Menu), and Search for: "%APPDATA%/.minecraft/bin".
